Christmas gift exchange with friends

I got a dollar!

Checking out their fun gifts from each other.

A few days before Christmas we had Asa's bud Sawyer, his brother Skyler and their mommy over to exchange gifts and Christmas goodies.  The boys always have a great time playing together and boy were they ever excited to give (and receive) gifts to each other.  We originally were going to have the boys exchange only ornaments.  Their AWANA club had a Christmas store and Sawyer and Asa decided to buy gifts for each other.  So there was a lot of gift opening, tissue paper flying and giggles of excitement to see what they had gotten each other.  Hershey even got his first ornament to hang on the tree!

Leaf pile fun

To say we had tons of leaves in our yard would be an understatement!  Tim decided to make several huge piles to burn, which enticed Asa to jump in and hide (before the burning commenced of course!).

Trip to NWA to visit friends

We made a trip in mid December up to NWA to visit some dear friends.  These are the only 2 pictures I managed to take!  I guess we were too busy having fun to take pictures.  The first is of Asa on the trip up, putting a straw through pickles - I don't remember the story behind that one.   The other is Asa at Fun City Pizza - what a ball he had there with his good buddy Ivy.  Fun times!

Balloon Dragon

We took Asa to do a few Christmasy things at the Historic Arkansas Museum in early December and this was the most important thing we brought back home.  A balloon dragon!  This guy on stilts was making anything you can imagine out of balloons.  Asa requested a dragon, of course!

Watching the man create the dragon.

Here it is in action!
